The Wealthy West “Long Play”

The Long Play by The Wealthy West is one of my favorite new releases. It is a little gem. The lyrics are beautiful (‘Now I’m looking up just to see where the light is gone’) and the melodies are equally gorgeous. It made me think of Peter Bradley Adams in terms of the general atmosphere of this record. His storytelling is just on point (like in “Home”). There’s also some splendid fingerpicking going on. Long Play is a collection of superb indie-folk songs. It is the perfect record to escape a little and breathe.

Personal Favourite: The Highest Tide
